Eastlake Woods is one of several subdivisions in the Eastlake community of Chula Vista, California. Most of the custom homes here have spectacular views of the Otay Lakes, and surrounding mountains.
Eastlake Woods is comprised of 54 lots that range from .5 to a little over 1.5 acres. This is one of the few areas in the region that builders are able to construct custom homes. Residents have access to the Clubhouse at the Woods which features swimming pools, barbecues, entertainment spaces, and play areas. Residents can also hold special events in the Grand Hall which has a kitchen, dining room, conference room, fitness room, and terrace as well as indoor and outdoor fireplaces.
The Chula Vista Elementary School District offers highly rated facilities like Salt Creek Elementary. The Sweetwater Union High School District is in charge of the older grades with excellent schools such as Eastlake Middle and Eastlake High. There are also many private facilities to choose from including St. Rose of Lima School, Saint John’s Episcopal School, Mater Dei Catholic High School, and Lutheran High School of San Diego. This is also the home of Southwestern College.
There are many shopping centers throughout Chula Vista and nearby you’ll find the Otay Ranch Center which feature a movie theater, and many retail stores. This region is known for its weekly farmers markets that offer fresh local produce, plants, and flowers.
Residents enjoy being so close to the great outdoors with the Otay Reservoir. The Upper Otay Reservoir is a lake with a 2.1 loop trail that is popular with fisherman and mountain bikers. The Lower Otay Reservoir is where the United States Olympic Rowing Team trains. Fishing is very popular here with several types of fish in the lake including channel catfish, bullhead, bluegill, largemouth bass, and white crappie.
Chula Vista is Southern California’s seventh largest city and the second largest in the San Diego area. Its economy relies on tourism and the city offers many shopping, cinema, and dining experiences.
